About Me

Howdy, y’all! My name is Danika. I have a loving husband, one amazing daughter, two fur babies, and a handful of chickens. I am a cradle Catholic who is still learning about her faith everyday. My calling is to teach…how? Who? Where? In what capacity? I’m still figuring that out, and I’m okay with that.

I started this blog, because 1) I believe we are all called to evangelize in some way, shape, or form, 2) being pregnant and raising a child has taught me so much, and I’d like to help others who may need some encouragement, a new perspective, or a different answer on a topic, 3) I love sharing about my family and daily events, and 4) I love to write! So, why not combine these things into one platform?

I am a born-and-raised Texan and native Houstonian. My husband is from west central Missouri. We met on an online dating site (I know, I know), and were in a long distance relationship for a year and a half. After much deliberation, he finally converted to Catholicism and moved to Texas. We got married 3 1/2  years later, and had a beautiful baby girl in August 2017. Our lives are forever changed, for the better, and I cannot wait to see what God has planned next!
